Scratching the Surface: SlowPitch Sound Hosts Turntablism Workshop.

Experimental Turntablist and composer Cheldon Paterson, aka SlowPitch Sound, will host a workshop and performance as part of his Winter Islands Residency.

This session covers a brief history of scratching, equipment orientation, basic techniques, and experimenting with different ways of playing with sound. Participants can also experience an intimate live improvised performance followed by some friendly discussion.
