The Islands Residency Welcomes Nora N. Khan

Fogo Island Arts and Art Metropole are pleased to announce that Nora N. Khan has been selected to participate in The Islands, a two-part residency that aims to encourage arts writing and criticism in contemporary art. Based in Rhode Island, where she is a faculty member at Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), Khan is a respected voice in contemporary art criticism.

The residency provides artists and writers with the space, time, and resources to deepen their practice. By fostering a dialogue between the specific landscapes of Fogo Island and Gibraltar Point, the program bridges geographical and intellectual terrains.

Nora N. Khan’s work explores the intersection of technology, digital culture, and artistic production. We look forward to the contributions she will bring to the community at Artscape Gibraltar Point during her residency period.
