Awakening: Earth-Based Spirituality & Art

Awakening is an intensive and immersive thematic residency open to all professional and emerging artists of all disciplines and witches who are exploring spirituality and creativity.

The experience was designed to provide a sacred and inspirational space for seekers to explore their practice within the framework of earth-based spirituality and their creative voice. The objective is to engage holistic practices that connect mind, body and spirit with the self and environment and to incorporate metaphysical practices within the arts.

We explore the five elements of earth, air, fire, water and spirit, and share global traditional wise women teachings in both a historical and contemporary context. How can these perspectives be shared, interpreted, integrated, disrupted or altered in contemporary arts practices?

Along with programmed time, participants will have free time to work individually or collaboratively in a studio environment and explore the island. All methods of art making are encouraged.
